Aluminum Duplex Sleeves

We manufacture or aluminum duplex sleeves from extrusions made in the USA. Our duplex sleeves have an “hour glass” dimension, which serves to help keep the rope in place prior to swaging and help with the fill-factor of the finished assembly.

Muncy – Newco aluminum sleeves can be swaged onto wire rope using hydraulic wire rope swagers or hand crimping tools. Aluminum sleeves must be properly swaged onto the wire rope with proper dies to the proper after swage diameter. Still aluminum sleeves should be swaged onto wire rope by those properly trained with proper equipment.

Ferrules and buttons are extruded from high quality aluminum alloy and heat treated for cold forming properties. The return eye splice using Newco Duplex Aluminum Sleeves is made to be used with 6 x 19 OR 6 x 37 Class, RRL, wire rope.When properly swaged, this hourglass shaped sleeve wil attain approximately 95% of EIP nominal wire rope strength.
