Hot Dip Galvanizing
Hot dip galvanizing has a dull, smooth, or rough metallic finish. It provides corrosion resistance that last for decades. Depending on environmental factors of where the galvanized part is located 50 – 100 years is not uncommon. This process does slightly alter the dimensions of the product.
Zinc Plating
Zinc plating has a shiny metallic finish. It provides corrosion resistance that last for 1-2 years and is rated to 12 hours in a salt fog cabinet. This process does not alter the dimensions of the product.
Cadmium
Cadmium plating has a dull, smooth metallic finish. It is rated to 244 hours in a salt fog cabinet. This process does not alter the dimensions of the product.
