Our AN-100 style thimbles come zinc plated for corrosion resistance.
AN-100 thimble use and specifications
Our AN-100 thimbles are used to form an "eye" to terminate cable or wire rope using a swaged aluminum or copper sleeve. The thimble helps protect the wire rope in the eye and maintain the integrity and shape of the eye. The "AN-100" is a federal specification that generally is no longer relevant, but the name remains. Should you need the AN-100 thimble to be made to this specification, let us know and we will make a special run for you.
