Muncy™ Logging Ferrules
Muncy Logging Choker Ferrules
Muncy logging choker ferrules (also known as “pressed” ferrules, “choker” or “chocker” ferrules, “midgets”, “dwarfs”, “knobs” and “nubbins”) are often used in the logging and forestry industry to choke logs in cable logging. Ferrules are often used with Bells, enabling a noose to be formed around the end of a log to be yarded.
Muncy uses American Steel
Muncy uses a grade of carbon steel specifically for swaging. All steel is Made In USA from American steel mills.
Also known as "Choker Ferrules"
All Muncy Machine and Tool™ fittings are machined from carbon steel specially selected for swaging. Aluminum and stainless steel available upon request.

CAUTION
Logging Ferrules are recommended for use on 6x19 or 6x37 IPS or XIP, EIP, RRL, or IWRC wire ropes. Not all Logging Furrules are designed to hold the breaking strength of the wire rope. Before using a Logging Ferrule for any type lay, construction or grade of wire rope, it is recommended that the termination be tested to prove adequacy of the assembly in the intended application. Proper swaging practices are the assembly manufacturer’s responsibility.
