Pocket Dies for chokers and ball shanks

"Pocket" dies refer to dies with the cavity shape of the after swage shape of a particular wire rope fitting, often [logging] choker ferrules that fit in bardon hooks. These fittings come in sizes that the industry delineates size by the terms "midget", "micro-midget", "dwarf", "bantam", "light" and "junior". The pocket cavity allows the after swage to be the shape of the die cavity, giving these fittings the shaper desired for their application.

Muncy pocket dies for ball shanks

Muncy makes ball shanks: some designed to be swaged in pocket dies where the ball is swaged along with the shank. Other ball shanks are designed to only be swaged on the shank, allowing rigging shops to use open channel dies they already have, as opposed to buying a special die for the specific ball shank.
