One-Piece Stainless Steel Duplex Sleeves
Upson-Walton's One Piece Stainless Duplex SleevesUpson-Walton's stainless 1PC turnback sleeves by Muncy was originally designed for the US Navy. Our sleeve provides better fill factor and strength with our hour-glass style design inside the sleeve. This extra material goes between the valley created by the two wire ropes side-by-side in the sleeve. This is similar to our 2 piece stainless turnback sleeves. From a practical perspective, the sleeve also does not slip as easy when positioning the two ropes going through the sleeve when forming the eye, prior to swaging.
1 PC Turnback Swageability
Our 1 PC stainless turnback sleeves, or loop-back ferrules, are made with special 304 Stainless Steel designed for the extreme forces of swaging while having the tensile strength to handle the load. Other material may split at the 'throat' of the sling's eye under load or experience regular cracking when swaging. Our quality starts in the material and continues through the manufacturing process all the way to our technical support of our products.

CAUTION
One-Piece Stainless Steel Turnback Duplex Sleeves are recommended for use on 6x19 and 6x37 IPS or XIP (EIP), XXIP (EEIP), RRL, or IWRC wire ropes. They are not recommended for use with Stainless Steel Ropes. Before using sleeves with other type lay, construction, or grade of wire rope, it is recommended that the termination be tested to prove the adequacy of the assembly in the intended application. Proper swaging practices are the assembly manufacturer’s responsibility.
